Frequently asked questions
Choose the category you are eligible for. The rules, the number of photographs and the prizes differ by category.
Who can take part?
There are seven competitions: the Ward Competition for ward councillors; Residential Traditional Decor and Residential Modern Decor for homes; Commercial Establishments (shops, showrooms, malls, supermarkets, hotels and resorts, office buildings, factories); Institutional Establishments (schools, colleges, government offices, PSUs, hospitals, banks, NGOs, religious and charitable places); and the markets of the Heritage Area and the Greater Area.
When can I enter?
Entries are accepted from 6 November 2026 to 11 November 2026. No entry or photograph is accepted after that.
Are AI-generated or edited photographs allowed?
No. AI-generated, edited or fraudulent photographs are not allowed. Such entries will be rejected completely.
How are photographs taken?
In the residential, commercial and institutional competitions, photographs are taken with the portal camera only, with location turned on. In the ward and market competitions, photographs can be taken with the portal camera or chosen from the phone's gallery.
Do I need to register?
No. Filling in the entry form is the registration: choose your competition, answer its questions and take your photographs. Your mobile number identifies your entry. Ward councillors sign in with the Ward ID and password issued by the Corporation.
Can an uploaded photograph be changed?
You can add or remove photographs until you submit your entry. Once the entry is submitted, its photographs cannot be changed.
Is my location recorded?
Yes, with every photograph taken with the portal camera. It must be within Jaipur, and all photographs of one entry must be taken in the same area; a vague location or one outside Jaipur is refused. Photographs chosen from the gallery carry no location.
How many entries may I make?
One entry per competition. The portal prevents a second entry in the same competition.
What do I get after submitting?
An entry number that carries your competition's three letters (for example JMC/DKW/2026/RTD/101). It is sent to you by email.
The camera will not open. What should I do?
Open the portal in Chrome or Safari - the camera is often blocked inside apps such as Instagram or Facebook. Allow camera and location when asked. On iPhone: Settings > Safari > Camera > Allow. On Android: tap the lock icon beside the address, allow Camera, then reload the page.
When are results announced?
After the judging panel completes its evaluation and the Corporation approves publication. Winners are felicitated by Nagar Nigam Jaipur.
